Rivneazot PJSC resumed the work of its ammonia complex with a capacity of over 650 tons of ammonia/day. This was reported by ProAgro Group with reference to information from Group DF, which includes the enterprise.
The company informed that the calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) facility (1600 tons/day) and concentrated nitric acid facility (which is a raw material for fertilizer production) with a capacity of 960,000 tons of nitric acid per year have also been put into operation. Thus, after the planned repair works, the full cycle of mineral fertilizer production is resumed at Rivneazot.
“We have started a planned seasonal campaign to launch key shops. First of all, we will increase the production volumes of CAN – the most demanded fertilizer at the moment. Further resumption of production capacities will depend on market conditions – the capacities will be loaded proportionally to the solvent demand. The availability of raw materials – availability and current cost of gas necessary for fertilizer production”, – commented the Chairman of the Management Board of Rivneazot PJSC Michael Zabluda.
According to him, the decision to increase CAN production is due to the gradual resumption of seasonal demand, as well as the opening of new export opportunities.
