“Shevchenko Agrofirm” LLC, which is located in Chernigiv region, this year plans to actively develop the pig breeding division.
The owner of the company, Andriy Ivanenko, told about it, reports “ProAgro Group” referring to PigUA.info.
The farm has a modern complex on 16 thousand pigs at one time keeping, 1250 sows, and sells weekly more than 500 heads for slaughter.
Last year the farm has undertaken a breeding project by purchasing the enterprise “Ukraine” with a newly built farm consisting of 500 sows. It will be rebuilt into a breeding farm to breed pigs of genetics of the international company PIC.
“We have already been audited by the company POC, signed a contract – we will implement this genetics in Ukraine. As soon as we get the results of laboratory tests to confirm the highest status of the health of pigs, we will begin to bring breeding stock”, – said Andrei Ivanenko.
Shevchenko Agrofirm also plans to equip this year its own feed factory and to complete the construction of manure lagoon to meet the highest environmental standards.
