As of April 5 more than 900 agricultural producers have attracted loans from Ukrainian banks in the total amount of 1 785 million UAH, reports “ProAgro Group” referring to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
With loans of up to 60 million UAH under this program the interest rate for farmers is 0% per annum (under the program of state financial support “Affordable loans 5-7-9%”).
The credit period is up to 6 months, and after its completion the interest rate for borrowers reaches 5%. To use the credit agrarians should fall under the definition of an agricultural producer.
“The state has done everything possible during the war to level out the risks of disruption of the sowing season. Lending to farmers is one of the priorities for banks. The conditions for granting credits are simplified as much as possible. Moreover, banks give loans to our farmers even in the regions where there is fighting, because it is necessary to sow crops and even under such danger people go to their fields. Today each of them makes a heroic deed,” said Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solskiy.
