Investments in the agricultural sector have grown by 30% after the introduction of the agricultural land market.
This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal during his speech at the online event “Reforms for Investment in Ukraine”, ProAgro Group reports referring to “Ukrinform”.
“Another significant achievement for our economy was the opening of the agricultural land market. Since the launch of the land market, as of mid-December last year, we have received the conclusion of 66 thousand transactions of purchase and sale of land plots. And this is just the beginning, which opens up a lot of opportunities for the Ukrainian agricultural sector to double over the next ten years. During the 9 months of last year investments in the agricultural sector grew by more than 30%, “- said Shmygal.
This, according to Prime Minister, demonstrates that investors see many opportunities in the agricultural sector, so the authorities promise to actively support this direction. At the same time, he assured that he would continue to work to improve the business climate in Ukraine. In this context, much attention is paid to anti-corruption reforms, the introduction of appropriate standards, digitalization.
“We consider the number one priority to reform the judicial system, the creation of such a point of obtaining justice for business, because any business wants legal guarantees of its security. We understand that. We’re moving forward pretty aggressively,” Shmygal said.
