The Government is developing mechanisms to support bakers to ensure uninterrupted production and stable prices of social kinds of bread. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, ProAgro Group reports with reference to the Governmental Portal.
“Over the past year the price of gas in Europe has risen by more than 5 times. Accordingly, the price of blue fuel has increased in Ukraine. Under such conditions, bread manufacturers are considering a price increase. In this case, the state has to protect both the Ukrainian baker and the consumer. At the initiative of the President, the government has prepared several mechanisms of appropriate support and plans to introduce them in the near future,” – Denis Shmygal said.
The head of the government stressed that it is planned to apply support mechanisms to balance the global price of blue fuel. In addition, the government plans to introduce a cap on markups for a number of social and food products, which will also help to curb their price rise. Now are being held appropriate consultations with representatives of business.
