The Parliamentary Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy asks to include in the draft State Budget for 2023 an additional 10.4 billion UAH for financial support of agrarians and 500 million UAH for loans to farms.
The corresponding decision was made by the members of the committee during the meeting on September 30, ProAgro Group reports with reference to the information published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
“We understand that today the state lives in extreme conditions, and most of the expenses should be directed to defense. However, today agrarians are the basis of the economy. Two hundred million hryvnias for financial support of agrarians, which are provided in the draft budget, is extremely small. Therefore, we hope that we will be heard, and the expenditures to support farmers will be increased,” said the chairman of the agrarian committee, MP Oleksandr Haidu.
The agrarian committee sent the relevant appeals to the Committee on Budget, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
