First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky told about the innovations during a live broadcast on Channel 5, ProAgro Group reports referring to the information of the Ministry.
“The land market opened on July 1 and is currently in a passive state. Now despite all the restrictions there are 2.5 times more people who want to buy land than those who want to sell it. There have been concluded more than 48 thousand deals in the land market,” Taras Vysotsky said.
He added that even before the opening of the land market by the decision of the local authority the land could be allocated for construction without compensation within a settlement and the owners had the opportunity to change the purpose. Now, after updating the law, when changing the purpose of the land, the owner must pay extra money to the local community. And this is considerable money.
Also during the conversation Taras Vysotsky noted that the work on the return to the state of the lands of military airfields and military camps that were illegally taken out of its ownership is underway and it’s about 10 thousand hectares. Now the case has been transferred to the law enforcement bodies, where all the circumstances are being studied. And the participants who were involved in the withdrawal of property from state ownership will be brought to justice.
