Having such a rich land fund, which exceeds 60 million hectares, Ukraine is simply obliged to take care and take care of its lands. Moreover, 70% of it is agricultural land that provides us with food. On his Facebook page, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Roman Leshchenko wrote about it, “ProAgro Group” reports.
“Therefore, the formula is simple: quality of soil = quality of food that we consume,” he said.
Roman Leshchenko called the use of land and resource potential of the state irrational: millions of hectares of land were in a very worn-out state, and there was no unified state system of land protection.
That is why the Cabinet of Ministers will implement a comprehensive program for land use and protection till 2032. It will include:
- Development of land management schemes and feasibility studies for the use and protection of lands of administrative-territorial units;
- monitoring of lands and quality of soil with the creation of a geoinformation platform;
- prevention of unjustified withdrawal of agricultural lands for non-agricultural needs;
- protection of lands from harmful anthropogenic impact, improvement of soil fertility and productivity of forest lands, observance of a special regime of protected land use.
