As of April 13, banks granted loans to 2080 agricultural producers in the amount of UAH 5 434 million, most of which was attracted under the program of portfolio guarantees 80% – UAH 413 million. This is reported by “ProAgro Group” referring to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
For the farmer who attracts a loan of up to 60 million hryvnia in the bank under this program, a zero interest rate is established for six months. After that it will be 5%. Agrarians falling under the definition of the agricultural commodity producer may take advantage of the credit.
In fact during the week there were given credits for more than 3,5 billion hryvnias for more than a thousand of agrarians. Banks have taken quite a fast pace to cover the needs of our agricultural producers who are now in the sowing campaign.
For today 22 banks can give agrarian credits and the purpose of the state to increase crediting of agrarian sector up to 40 billion hryvnias that is almost 8 times more.
“Ukraine understands its decisive role as a guarantor of food security of the world, so we must harvest to feed ourselves and prevent food shortages and hunger in the world,” said Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solsky.
