Port of Mykolaiv confidently holds the second place in the rating of Ukrainian seaports by volume of transshipment, and by transshipment of oil it is the undisputed leader. This is reported by ProAgro Group, citing the information of the administration of the enterprise.
By the end of 2021, Mykolaiv sea port handled 29.87 million tons of cargo, which is 99.1% compared to last year and is 16% of the total cargo turnover of all ports of Ukraine.
It is noted that during the past year, Mykolaiv Sea Port has confidently and unconditionally maintained the first place among the ports of Ukraine for transshipment of vegetable oil and the second for handling grain.
Thus, from January to December port operators handled 2.88 million tons of vegetable oil, which is 36% of the total volume of processed oil in ports of Ukraine. Somewhat less than last year was transshipped grain crops – 12.9 mln. tons (97.9%).
The most productive month in 2021 turned out to be November, cargo turnover amounted to 3.6 mln. tons per month. Also, November was marked by the highest number of handled vessels within the port water area – their number reached 90.
