The first bulk carrier with grain has left Ukrainian port “Yuzhny”

The first vessel with provisions has departed from Yuzhny port this morning, ProAgro Group reports with reference to the information of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

It is noted that the bulk carrier SACURA headed for Italy. Subsequently, the vessel merged into a caravan with the bulk carrier ARIZONA, which left the port of Chornomorsk for Turkey. On board of both vessels there are 60 thousand tons of agricultural products.

“Today the largest Ukrainian port “Yuzhny” is fully involved in the implementation of the Initiative. Thus all ports of Big Odesa are involved in the export of agricultural products. Now our aim is to increase transshipment in the ports. Within 2 weeks we plan to reach the volume of transshipment 3-5 ships a day”, – Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov commented.

Also according to the Ministry of Infrastructure, yesterday bulk carrier FULMARS entered the port Chornomorsk and is ready for loading. This is the first vessel to enter this Ukrainian port since the full-scale Russian invasion. The vessel entered as part of an initiative to safely transport grain and food products from Ukrainian ports.
