Ukrzaliznytsia in November 2021, according to operational data, transported 4.1 million tons of grain cargo, which was the absolute record of grain transportation in the monthly dimension.
Also, this figure is 2.7% higher than for November 2020, ProAgro Group reports, citing information from the company.
“Ukrzaliznytsia, first of all, a large but accurate mechanism of transportation and logistics of our state. The quality of this mechanism is in front of you – we see the record and do not plan to stop. We go on with our constant work on improvement of transportation, and I am sure that we will show more than one record”, – said the Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia, Alexander Kamyshyn.
Thus, grain transportation by railways for export last month has increased by 9,2% in comparison with the previous year – up to 3,7 million tons, import transportation – by 8%, up to 16,2 thousand tons. Domestic transportation of grains amounted to 256 thousand tons; transit transportation reached 125 thousand tons.
In January-November 2021, grain transportation by Ukrzaliznytsia has amounted to 29.8 million tons, including 3.3 million tons in domestic service, 25.8 million tons for export, 194.3 thousand tons in import, and 488 thousand tons in transit.
