The work in the fields of the four regions of Ukraine where “Agrotrade” company operates – Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava and Kharkiv – has been completed. Fighting has taken place or is still taking place in these regions, so agrarians have become participants in the most intense struggle for the harvest in the history of independent Ukraine, according to the company’s press service.
“During these 95 days of full-scale war, our plans were constantly changing. It was managed promptly, according to access to the fields, the ability of employees, suppliers and contractors to fulfill their obligations. There was no one standard solution that could be applied now,” said Agrotrade Group Director of Operations Olena Vorona.
She noted that we had to work very closely with people, to help them find solutions when there were no unambiguous answers and no way to guarantee safety. The company promptly found and introduced new techniques, so as not to expose people to danger. From day one the main tasks were to save people’s lives and conduct sowing in the maximum area, which the company has successfully coped with.
“Agrotrade” says that the difficulties the company faced were unlike anything it had had to deal with before: part of the territory under occupation, mined fields and roads, shells, supply disruptions due to military operations, and the possibility of shelling that could happen at any moment. However, thanks to the coordinated and sometimes heroic work of the company’s employees, all these difficulties were overcome.
