On December 7, during monitoring visits to places where animal carcasses can be disposed, specialists of Bilozersk District State Hospital of Veterinary Medicine found 4 corpses of pigs in a wooded area between Stanislav and Shiroka Balka villages of Uunited territorial community of Bilozersk district of Kherson region.

A rapid response group immediately arrived on the spot. There was selected biological material and sent for testing to Mykolaiv regional state laboratory, where the diagnosis of African swine fever was established.
Now the remains of swine carcasses were burned and buried at the place of their discovery, the place of burning was treated with bleach. The involved vehicles were disinfected, personal protective equipment and disposable overalls were destroyed by incineration.
By the decision of the State Emergency Commission at the Kherson regional state administration, a quarantine was established in the two aforementioned villages.
