Ukraine is holding talks with the UN and Turkey to create opportunities for the export of grain. Now 22 million tons of grain are blocked in Ukrainian ports.

President Vladimir Zelensky said this yesterday during a briefing, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to “Ukrinform”.

The head of state noted that the implementation of the export process will not be easy, but definitely possible. He stressed that Ukraine is interested in it as an exporter.

“We are interested in ensuring that our farmers continue to work for next year and for the next harvest. In order to do that, we need to export it all – barley, wheat, corn and the like. Twenty-two million tons are blocked right now. We’re expecting about 60 million tons in the fall. There will be really quite a difficult situation,” the president added.

Zelenskyy informed that work continues at the diplomatic level to ensure that states do not buy from the Russian Federation grain, which it stole in the blocked Ukrainian ports.

In addition, he said, negotiations continue with Turkey and the United Nations. He clarified that the UN is not a moderator, but a leader.
