In Ukraine, in the conditions of war, the export of finished food products, in particular dairy products, is developing more actively. This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky on the air of the national marathon UAtogether, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to the information of the Ministry.
Thus, according to him, in August, milk exports showed a record figure for the last two years. Such growth is expected in the future.
In addition, the number of industrial pig breeding and poultry farming is increasing, Taras Vysotsky added. This is primarily due to cheaper feed, and the trend of livestock development will continue in the future.
Another direction, according to him, is deeper processing of grain crops: production of flour, ready-made pasta, amino acids, etc. Such projects have also already been launched, but the result should be expected in two to three years.
As reported, Ukraine in August rapidly increased exports of dairy products, which in monetary terms brought $ 32.9 million, which is almost a quarter more than in July. Sales of butter increased the most – by 78.9% and milk powder – by 31.6%.
