As of today it has been sown on more than 2.5 million hectares, which makes about 20% of the forecast. This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky in the air of the national telethon UA, as “ProAgro Group” reports.
He noted that today it is necessary to mine the fields in the territories, which were liberated from the occupation: these are Chernihiv region, Sumy region, part of Kharkiv and Kyiv region. And even in these regions, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy expects that at least 60-70% will be able to carry out all spring field work on time.
However, the most difficult situation is in the temporarily occupied regions and where there are active military operations: in Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. There now the forecast is less positive: the sowing can take place there under the pessimistic scenario by only 30-40%.
On the rest of the territories of Ukraine the sowing campaign is going according to the plan, Taras Vysotsky assured.
In most cases, farmers have purchased material resources in advance. And in places where there is no fighting or mines, the farmers actively go to the fields and continue the sowing campaign.
