The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has signed a memorandum with the Association “Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine” to stabilize prices for chicken eggs and prevent the excess of wholesale selling prices from the level at which eggs are supplied to retail chains.
According to the “ProAgro Group” with reference to the information of the Ministry, egg producers within the framework of the memorandum undertook to saturate the domestic market with eggs, in particular to increase the number of laying hens and egg production.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy, for its part, will ensure that egg producers are provided with the necessary conditions and resources for work, as well as have the opportunity to attract affordable credit resources for their production activities. In addition, the Ministry will contribute to the stability of domestic prices for grain and oilseeds and their products.
The Memorandum is open for signature by producers of food chicken eggs and will be valid until December 31 this year, but may be extended if necessary.
