Ukrainian exports to China increased by 20% in January-October

During 10 months of 2021, Ukrainian commodity exports to China increased by 20% and accounted for 12% of the total Ukrainian exports. The largest increase occurred in meat and edible by-products – 164%, the grain growth was 46%, vegetables – 25%. This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the State Consumer Service.

It is noted that today China is the leader in the number of commodity positions, in respect of which the work is carried out to open markets for Ukrainian producers. The list includes flour, fish and fish products, eggs and egg products, wheat, rapeseed, sorghum, soybean grist, apples, blueberries, poultry, peas, beans, cherries, pet food, malt, compound feed for farm animals, birds and pond fish, frozen semi-finished products.

Regarding the near-term prospects – it is expected to start the next stage of opening of exports of fresh blueberries to the PRC, which includes the inspection of the conditions of production of this berry in a remote on-line format, as well as the coordination of documents for the opening of poultry, peas and blueberries markets.
