Russia ready to unblock Ukrainian grain exports in exchange for lifting sanctions

Russia is ready to provide a “green corridor” for the export of Ukrainian grain in exchange for the removal of sanctions. The Russian deputy minister of foreign affairs Andrei Rudenko said this, ProAgro Group reported.

According to him, a “comprehensive approach” is needed to solve this food problem, in particular the removal of sanctions on the export of Russian goods and financial payments. In addition, the Russian official added that Ukraine is obliged to clear all ports on its own.

We shall remind you that earlier the UN suggested easing sanctions against Russia in exchange for a sea corridor for the export of Ukrainian grain, to which the Ukrainian authorities reacted negatively.

To solve the problem of grain exports from Ukraine, the USA also considered temporarily lifting sanctions against Belarus for the supply of potash fertilizers in order to ensure its railway transit of grain carriages to the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda.
