On October 26-27, hackathon in search of innovations in the agricultural sector was held at the International Exhibition Centre (Kyiv), as ProAgro Group reports with reference to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
According to its results, 3 of 25 teams have been selected to represent Ukraine during the week dedicated to technology in the AgriFood-industry during the exhibition EXPO-2020 in Dubai, which will take place from February 13 to 17, 2022. The peculiarity of the hackathon is in the fact that it was the first time such an event was organized on the initiative of the state.
Such corporations as Kernel, Agrain, IMK, Continental Farmers Group, HD-group, GFS as well as Trend and Hedge Club, USAID and Ukrainian-Swiss Business Association joined the hackathon. The winners are the following startups:
Aware of Land. Service of land analytics and data, which allows obtaining information on land plots from state registers, auditing land banks of communities, checking land plots during purchase or crediting (Kyiv).
FlyAGData. Hardware solution that reduces agricultural production costs and increases profitability/margins of farms by collecting agronomic and engineering data in real time from machinery, turning them into valuable analytical data for farmers (Vinnytsia).
Fruittorg. b2b agrarian marketplace of narrow specialization (fruits and vegetables), which through algorithms of artificial intelligence ensures demand, shapes planning, provides security of product quality and creates Internet market in fruit and vegetable sphere ( Vinnytsia).
